Insights are the reporting feature in Omnidek. They are built per form to report on all submission data. A single form can have multiple insights saved for reference. They are user specific unless shared out to other users.
The ability to create an insight is managed by permissions by user or by organization using the checkbox: Allows access to Insights screen.
To build an insight, select Insights icon from the left menu bar. A list of all existing insights will appear categorized by form. The Search Insights bar allows the user to quickly search for desired insights.
Shared Insights
Users can share insights using the share button with correct permissions. Insights are user specific unless shared out to other entites. Shared insights can be dispersed to users, crowds, or organizations. However, recipients will not be able to edit filters of a shared insight or have the ability to re-share it with others. If the Insight originator modifies the filters on the insight, all shared insights will reflect the modification. Insight Layouts saved on a shared insight will reflect across all instances of the Insight. Shared insights go to Inbox > All Items. Click learn more about Insight Layouts.
Building Insights
To create a new Insight, select the New Insight button. A modal will appear prompting users to select the entity as the source data for the Insight. Select Form as the Entity, then select the form from which to report and name it accordingly. (Note: Other Entities are available specifically for Intacct integrations) User's can provide an optional description. Click Create, then the Insight pane will appear with all the available filters.
Insight Filters
Insight filters are compromised of system fields collected by Omnidek and form answer as setup in the Form Designer. Form answer types are labeled as the Reference Name given in Form Designer. Filters can be turned on and off to affect the view of data in the grid. They are not permanent and can be manipulated as need for better reporting. Any changes made in the filters panel can be applied by pressing Apply Changes button.
System Fields
Every Insight has a set of default filters called System Fields.

Insight Views
Each insight has two tabs labeled Summary and Details. These tabs correlate with the grouping of answer types to the left of the grid. Grid formatting in Insights is individual each tab. Making changes to the summary tab will not update the view of the details tab.
Summary Tab
The summary tab correlates with all system fields and basic form answers types and header information from clusters and tab containers. They are grouped under the Header Column in the filter menu.
Details Tab
The details tab displays individual line items of data captures on the form through tab containers and clusters. They are grouped by each section as titled in the form designer. Filters selected in groupings other than Header Column will only display on the details tab.
Filters on Fields
The question/answer types on a form are available for reporting in the filter menu to the left of the Insight grid. The questions display as column headers in the grid. Each question allows for conditional filtering/funneling by clicking the filter icon on the right of the question. Drill down using the arrow to the right of the reference name for grid and group summary options for total, average, min, and a max of data in the column.
