Notification Center
Omnidek now has a new notification engine called notification center. Users can access it using the bell icon is located at the top of the dashboard bar. Hitting the bell will open a panel with all recent notifications.
Unread items are denoted with a blue line and can be marked as read using the button to the top right of the panel. Read more!
Chat Enhancements
Mentions
Users can now direction mention another user using the '@' to search the available user list. The list is limited differently in different areas of the system.
- Submission chat - every user is available to chat
- Channel chat - lists only users that have the same channel created
Reactions
Users can now react to chat messages. The reaction is sent as a notification to the author of the chat message. Hover over the message and a bubble with three reactions will appear. Select the appropriate reaction and it will appear on the message. Select the action again to remove it from the message. Users can select multiple reactions at a time to a message.
Entity References
Administrators can now see where each entity (user, crowd, organization) is referenced in workflow or shared insights. The references button can be found in the Admin menu and can be managed by entity using the corresponding tabs. Read more!
New Icon for Pin/Favorites
Users can now pin a favorite insight to their favorites folder using the pin icon to the right of the insight name. The favorites are located at the top of the accordion on Dashboard and in Insights.
Users can now pin a favorite form to their favorites folder using the pin icon to the right of the form name. The favorites are located at the top of the accordion on Dashboard and in Form Hub
Hover over the name and select the hollow pin icon when it appears. The pin will turn to a darker, solid gray color and move the item to the favorites folder at the top of the list. To remove pin, simply press the solid icon and it will be removed from the favorite list.
Note: Insights that are favorited will be labeled in the favorites section as they are named in the insight builder, so name accordingly as it will no longer be in the folder of the form name.
Follow A From and Insight
Users can now manage which Insights they follow and the notification they generate in the notification center. Users can now manage which Forms they follow and the notification they generate in the notification center. These are managed by toggling the bell icon. A blue bell indicates that is form or insight is being followed. The faded grey bell indicates a form that is not followed.
Insight Share
Previously, shared insights were sent through Inbox. Now, shared insights create a notification. The shared insight will be in the insights list and will display the user that shared it.
User can now better manage shared Insights by entity using a new share button to the right of the Insight name. Insights can also be removed from the shared list to recover or make changes and re-share. Read more!
Asset Entities Restricted Access
Can Create Channels Flag on Assets
There is a new flag on the asset edit panel labeled 'Can create channels'. Turning on this flag would allow that asset to have a channel created on it. If it is false, a user cannot create a channel on this asset.
